Hexford Talent Opens Edinburgh Office

We are pleased to announce the opening of our third UK office, in Edinburgh’s Haymarket district. The office opened formally last week and is now home to a dedicated team led by Anya Petrova focused on Data and AI hiring across Scotland’s growing technology sector.

Why Edinburgh, why now

Edinburgh has been an underserved market for the kind of work Hexford does. The city has a meaningful concentration of senior technology talent — anchored by the university, the financial services sector, and a growing density of high-growth startups in areas like healthcare AI, climate tech, and gaming.

What it has been missing is specialist senior recruitment capacity. Most agencies operating in Scotland either focus on the volume end of the market or run their senior work from London with occasional travel. We saw an opportunity to do something more substantial.

The Edinburgh team will initially focus on Data and AI roles, reflecting where we see the strongest current demand. We expect to expand into Technology and Financial Services hiring through the second half of 2026.

The team

Anya Petrova, who has been with Hexford since 2021 and previously led much of our London Data and AI work, has relocated to lead the Edinburgh practice. She will be joined by two senior consultants who are joining from established Scottish recruitment firms, with both starts confirmed for late April and May.

What’s next

Our priorities for the next twelve months in Edinburgh are: deepening our network in the Scottish technology community, building strong relationships with the leading employers in the region, and demonstrating the same level of service to candidates and clients in Scotland that we are known for in London and Manchester.
